Torche Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Torche Android application, also shown in the app interface as Torch Studio, handles device permissions, subscription state, third-party billing services, and user privacy choices.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Torche mobile application on Android, including screens branded in the app as Torch Studio, and its in-app subscription features. It does not apply to third-party services you use outside the app, including Google Play.

2. Information We Collect

Torche is designed for minimal data usage. We do not require account registration and we do not collect personal profile data such as your name, phone number, or home address.

Information accessed by the app

  • Camera/flashlight access: Used only to control torch functionality.
  • Subscription state data: Product ID, offer token, purchase status, purchase token, purchase time, active subscription status, auto-renew status, and purchase metadata returned by Google Play Billing.

Based on current app implementation, Torche does not operate its own backend server for user accounts or user profiling.

3. Device Permissions

  • CAMERA: Required to control flashlight/torch hardware.
  • FLASHLIGHT: Required to switch flashlight on/off.
  • INTERNET: Required for Google Play Billing interactions and related Play services behavior.

Torche does not use camera permission to capture photos or videos and does not record audio.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Torche offers subscription-based premium features through Google Play Billing. Payments are processed by Google Play, not by Sklabs or Naseer Technologies directly.

  • We do not directly collect or store your card, UPI, or bank payment credentials.
  • Google Play Billing may provide product IDs, offer tokens, purchase tokens, purchase times, purchase status, active subscription status, auto-renew status, and purchase history to the app.
  • Purchase and subscription details are used to unlock premium features, restore access, acknowledge purchases, show available offers, and help users manage subscriptions.
  • Subscription management may open Google Play subscription pages in your browser/Play app.

5. How We Use Information

  • Provide torch and screen/color light features.
  • Verify and maintain subscription access to premium features.
  • Restore existing subscription access after reinstall, app restart, or app update.
  • Support app reliability and troubleshoot billing/feature issues.

6. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. Torche relies on Google Play Billing infrastructure for subscription transactions. Any personal data processed by Google Play is governed by Google policies and terms.

7. Data Retention

App-level billing state may be cached on-device for feature access continuity. Google Play purchase and subscription history remains available through Google Play according to Google's retention practices and your Google account settings. We do not maintain independent user account databases for Torche in current architecture.

8. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to reduce misuse risks. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but Torche is designed with data minimization.

9. Children's Privacy

Torche is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will review the request.

10. International Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (for example EEA/UK/Switzerland, California, or other regions), you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data. Since Torche does not maintain user profile databases in current design, rights requests may be limited to data processed by third parties such as Google Play.

11. International Data Transfers

Torche is operated from Asia (India). Where third-party processors are used (such as Google Play), data may be processed in other countries under those providers' legal terms.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
